"Be like the willow tree, able to bend without breaking under the weight of any storm. Always resilient, always growing."

Approach

Willow Occupational Therapy offers individualized and private therapy sessions for children and young adults. With a focus on developing independence, Willow employs evidence-based practices and a collaborative approach to skill development that encompasses family, community and the individual.

Willow offers home-, school-, daycare-based and virtual-based therapy sessions. We focus on working with individuals in "real-life" environments because it provides a more natural and un-fabricated perspective of a client's life. This contributes to more authentic and personalized assessments and ultimately more successful interventions. Collaboration with Parents and Teachers is also paramount for successful programming. We treat members of a client's social circle as teammates as they provide not only an in-depth understanding of the challenges and concerns that clients face, but also insight into the goals a client should strive to meet.

REBECCA REID
OT(REG.ONT), MSC(OT), B.ED.

HI there! My name is Rebecca Reid and I’m the founder of Willow Occupational Therapy and Head Occupational Therapist.

For the past ten years I’ve supported children and young adults as both an educator and an occupational therapist working in a wide-range of challenging environments. From teaching deaf and disabled children at a reverse integration school in Montreal to volunteering at a child occupational therapy practice in Hong Kong, I’ve developed a unique perspective on how to best support the school aged population. I most recently spent two years teaching and providing therapy to students with autism at a Toronto-based private school and in August of 2016 I founded Willow to support the growing need for special needs intervention.

I’m thrilled that you’ve taken the time to check out willowot.com and I’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in learning more about programming options.
